About this property

Welcome to Redstone Castle

Redstone Castle is a formal early 20th-century boutique hotel located within the Redstone Historic District of Colorado. The property operates as both a historical landmark and a wedding venue, offering guests the chance to stay in one of its nine elegant suites. The setting reflects the preservation and restoration efforts made by current ownership, allowing visitors to experience the character and details of a bygone era, from marble fireplaces to antique furnishings.

Guests can expect an intimate and carefully curated experience, with personalized touches such as wine and cheese receptions and guided tours of the entire 67-room castle. Hosts receive praise for their hospitality and knowledge about the property's history, which enhances the stay significantly. While the accommodation operates similarly to a bed and breakfast, it does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, though breakfast offerings are described as generous and well-prepared by hosts.

The location in the Redstone Historic District provides a quiet and scenic environment, with beautiful grounds and views noted by several visitors. The castle is often recommended for history enthusiasts, couples seeking a romantic getaway, and those interested in unique wedding venues. Some guests highlight the castle’s atmospheric qualities, mentioning its historic charm and even ghost stories, which may appeal to a niche audience.

Booking may be limited due to the property’s size and popularity, so advance reservations are advisable. Overall, the castle combines the appeal of a historic museum with the comfort of a small luxury hotel, suited for travelers looking for an immersive experience rather than extensive modern amenities.

Incredible historic castle in Colorado that is a must see for antique and history lovers! Jennifer, the Innkeeper is amazing and made our stay wonderful! She is so incredibly knowledgeable about the Castle, her insight made our stay even better. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, full of history and antiques. The grounds are stunning and the views amazing. Food was excellent - all around awesome place!

This is an expensive, but thoroughly unique and enjoyable experience. There is a wine and cheese reception every afternoon followed by a fascinating tour of the castle. Warning, however - there is no restaurant and no bar. This is essentially a B&B, but what a breakfast- omelets or souffles, breakfast meat, yogurt parfaits with fresh local fruit, French toast, scones(not all at one sitting, of course), a veritable feast. We had nice conversations with other guests, and Candace and Vicki were wonderful hostesses.

Though more awareness would make it harder to book based on limited space. Hands down one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. Looking for a romantic getaway look no further. Drove 5 hours from the front range for a romantic weekend with wife and had no regrets. The castle is definitely haunted but if ghosts don't bother you then you will enjoy. The care takers were awesome and the breakfast + wine was icing on the cake.

We stayed at the castle June16-18 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Study Suite. The hosts -Jennifer and Pete- were gracious, very knowledgeable about the property's history, and fabulous cooks. We enjoyed an appetizer reception, perfect breakfasts with a view, and personalized tours of the property. What really makes it special is the care put into restoration by the current owners and the unique experience they provide. It's like getting to spend the night in a museum and while making yourself at home! We particularly enjoyed playing pool on John Osgood's pool table and checking out the 2-story gazebo.

We took the private tour and Matt was a very patient and knowledgeable guide. What sets this apart from all other castle or historical tours is that you are able to walk around in every single room. All 67 of them. Most all others we have been on rooms are usually roped off and all you can do is peek in. Not here. Would highly recommend if you have the chance.

We were a party of 4 at the tour and masks are required. Our tour guide Becky was very knowledgable on the history of Osgood and the castle. She was very personable and answered every question. The current owners have brought the castle back to its former glory. The woodwork, stone and marble work, 14 marble fireplaces, amazing windows with the special treat of the lighting. You can reserve nights at the castle. Our tour was $150 for our group of 4 and 1.5 hours. Between our guide Becky and the amazing castle and castle grounds we thoroughly enjoyed our tour!!!

My husband and I were married here 25 years ago. We came back to celebrate our anniversary and re-create a few of our wedding photos. The manager, Lindsay, was absolutely amazing! When we told her about our plans for photos, she immediately went out and bought me a bouquet for the pictures. She also patiently helped us stage our photos and take them for us. On top of all of that, the Castle itself was immaculate and regal, yet very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfasts were great, and the town of Redstone was fun, too. Everything about our experience was top notch. We highly recommend the Redstone Castle to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic trip or to anyone looking for a really cool, intimate setting for a wedding. Just contact Lindsay, and I'm sure she will make it happen!

The only reason I wouldn't leave a glowing review would be to selfishly keep this place a secret. My wife and I stayed at the castle for our anniversary and it was the perfect trip. Jennifer and Pete go out of their way to make you feel at home, while still giving you the space and freedom to enjoy the property like it's your own. They are the perfect hosts. The history of the property is amazing, views from the rooms are phenomenal, beds are comfortable, and rooms (more like suites) are spacious and private. Looking forward to our next opportunity to visit again.
